TAEKWONDO (태권도)

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics.

5 Taekwondo Tenets

Courtesy (예의)

Politeness and respect for others, behaving in a well-mannered and civil fashion

Integrity (염치)

Showing good character, honestly, prudence, and decency. Behaving ethically and morally.

Perseverance (인내)

Purposefully pursuing a course of action despite of difficulty, resistance, or discouragement.

Self-control (극기)

Keeping ones emotions, desires, and impulses in check, and exercising control in their expression.

Indomitable spirit (백절불굴)

The spirit that can’t be broken or conquered, the strength of spirit that comes from the knowing one’s self.

TINY TIGERS

(4 to 6 yrs)

We really help them with their focus skills, confidences, respect and a good attitude. They will also learn basic Taekwondo techniques and fun fitness skills.

CHILDREN
(7 to 12 yrs)

We help them with their focus skills, confidence, respect and a good attitude. They will also learn basic Taekwondo techniques including punching, kicking, forms, self-defense, breaking, sparring and fun fitness skills.

TEENS & ADULTS

(13 & UP)

We help you lose weight, relieve stress, and learn applicable self-defense. You will learn Taekwondo techniques including punching, kicking, forms, self-defense, breaking, sparring, fun fitness skills and also cardio workouts.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

Our regular monthly programs are $200/month (2 classes/week) & $130/month (1 class/week). The first time you register, there’s a one-time registration fee of $100 (includes uniform and drawstring bag). 

Student can attend 2 classes/week or 1 class/week. You should sign up for the classes and attend those same classes every week.

Yes. Please notify us by email so we can schedule a make-up class. Only 2 make-up classes per month allowed.

We accept EFT which is processed monthly from your bank account (checking or saving). A voided check or bank account information is required to set up monthly payments. You can also use a debit/credit card, however there will be an additional 3% fee.

The Month-to-Month Program can be canceled at any time without any penalty. However, we require a 30-day written notice and a completed Account Cancellation Form.

Students are required to take at least 16 classes between each color belt test. Color belts (non-black belts) are eligible to test every 10 weeks.

These are the updated safety measures starting October 3rd, 2022. 

  • BEFORE CLASS: To prevent interrupting the previous class in the waiting room, do not enter more than 5 MINUTES BEFORE class starting times, Students will no longer be required to have their temperature checked upon entry. Students continue to use hand sanitizer before joining the class and wearing masks & socks is optional.
  • DURING CLASS: Parents are allowed to watch their children in class in the waiting room. Also, we will continue to have the zoom link open so that parents are still able to watch their child take the class via zoom link as well.
  • AFTER CLASS: Students must be picked up at the BACK DOOR within 5 MINUTES AFTER CLASS ENDS. Students who haven’t been picked up by then will be sent to the front office for pickup.
  • STAY HOME WHEN YOUR CHILD IS SICK: We will not be able to accept students who are currently sick (any symptoms), are currently in quarantine due to Covid-19, or have a high temperature (100.4 degrees F or higher)
  • Do NOT PULL YOUR CAR UP IN FRONT OF THE STAIRS. For the safety of our members, please park your car and walk to the foot of the stairs. We will not let students cross the street on their own.)
